David Hay, LCSW

He/Him

I work with individuals navigating anxiety, identity experiences, life transitions, relationships, sexuality, and high levels of self-criticism. My approach is Buddhist-informed and compassionate, integrating somatic-based practices to help you reconnect with your body while processing emotions and experiences. I bring honesty, transparency, and a touch of warmth and humor, creating a space that clients often describe as both challenging and deeply supportive. I see therapy as a collaborative journey where your voice shapes the path that we take together. I also have experience with therapy for performers to heal past trauma, move through anxiety and self-doubt.

I draw on Attachment-Focused EMDR, Somatic Experiencing, Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Family Systems, and Sex-Positive Therapy, tailoring interventions to each individual’s unique needs. I am deeply committed to supporting people from diverse racial, cultural, religious, gender, and sexual orientation identities, including the LGBTQIA+ community,

Together, we explore how your body and mind have held tension, anxiety, or self-doubt. Through somatic-based work, you’ll release old patterns, cultivate presence and resilience, and strengthen your connection to yourself and those you care about. This integration of mind and body helps foster clarity, balance, and a deeper sense of self.
